What is a new employee and when do benefits become effective?
A new employee is defined as an employee without active benefits. If you are a Part-time employee with a pay code of B, E, F, or L, you are eligible to participate.Â
Benefits will be effective the first of the following month your eligibility. Â The cost of these benefits will NOT be deducted from your paycheck.

How do I enroll?
To obtain a Healthcare and/or Flexible Benefits enrollment form, contact FBMC Service Center at 1-855-MDC-PS4U (1-855-632-7748), Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. ET.
Mail your completed enrollment form (s), with your first month premium, payable to FBMC to:

NOTE: There is no Board contribution towards the employee’s nor the dependent's healthcare coverage. Part-Time employees are responsible for the full, monthly cost of the Board-approved healthcare plan.
Can I enroll in Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage?
Yes, except if you are represented by the AFSCME labor union. AFSCME employees CAN NOT enroll in this benefit. Â
